What is a Celebrant?
A celebrant is the person who will lead your Wedding, Renewal of Vows, Commitment, or Baby Naming Ceremony. A celebrant is a bit like a non-religious minister, although prayers can be included in their services, if you wish.
Choosing a celebrant gives you the freedom to have a truly bespoke and unforgettable ceremony. We work with you to put together vows, music and readings that are a perfect match.
Celebrants are not bound by statutory or religious rules. We have very few restrictions on what we can include in ceremonies, which is not the case for registrars and religious leaders. This allows us to put you at the heart of the ceremony and make your day as flexible and personal as possible!
To complete the legal paperwork for your marriage you will just need to visit a Register Office beforehand. The basic cost for this is around £60 - find your nearest one here.
